Chris Young is a registered P.Geo with both APEGA and EGM (Manitoba) and has over 19 years of experience as a geologist in both the mineral exploration/mining industry in western Canada, as well as the oil & gas industry throughout the WCSB. He has gained a wide spectrum of experience in his career, which has given him a strong, diverse skill set of critical thinking and project management.

Chris began his career as a geology assistant at the provincial core lab in Winnipeg, which then lead to him becoming a mineral exploration geologist for several junior companies, working on numerous grass roots, carbonate and gold properties throughout BC for many years. As well, Chris has gained experience working as an exploration geologist at the gold mine in Bissett, Manitoba.

Chris later changed gears to become a wellsite geologist, where he has gained experience sitting wells in SW Manitoba, SE Saskatchewan and central Alberta. His numerous years of wellsite experience ultimately lead him to a petroleum/operations & development geologist office opportunity with Red Beds Resources in Winnipeg, which later became Tundra Oil and Gas. In this role, Chris researched, planned and executed oil wells throughout the Williston Basin in SW Manitoba and SE Saskatchewan. In all, Chris has developed a strong track record of successfully executing over 100 economic wells, many of which being horizontal development locations, along with some vertical & horizontal exploratory locations.
