Jim is now enjoying his 45th year involved in the oil and gas industry. He began his career in 1978, working on the drilling rigs in Northern Alberta as a roughneck, working his way into a drilling supervisory position up until 1983. Jim left the drilling rigs to get more involved in the service sector of the oil and gas industry, ultimately working for HOMCO (later merged into Weatherford International) where he was a wireline assistant and put in charge of dispatching and maintenance of fishing tools. Chris Young is a registered P.Geo with both APEGA and EGM (Manitoba) and has over 19 years of experience as a geologist in both the mineral exploration/mining industry in western Canada, as well as the oil & gas industry throughout the WCSB. He has gained a wide spectrum of experience in his career, which has given him a strong, diverse skill set of critical thinking and project management.
